Professor Muhammed Taofeeq Abdulrazaq

Professor Muhammed Taofeeq Abdulrazaq is Professor of Taxation at the Faculty of Law, Lagos State University and Tax Partner at Nolands Nigeria Professional Services .

He was Partner/Regional Tax Leader, Ernst & Young (West Africa) and had also worked at Deloitte as Director, Tax Services and at PricewaterhouseCoopers as Senior Tax Manager.

He is a Professor of Taxation and was Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Ilorin and the Lagos State University.

He had also been the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and was a member of the Value Added Tax Tribunal.

Taofeeq’s extensive knowledge in tax spans over 35 years. His tax experience covers the full range of services in corporate tax advisory services, indirect tax services, international tax services and tax litigation support services.

He has written many articles, monographs and books on Nigerian Taxation in both local and International academic and professional journals and he is a frequent speaker at various tax seminars and conferences at both local and international levels.

Taofeeq is an examiner on Taxation at many institutions and is Adjunct Professor of Law and Consultant Director of the Centre for Business Taxation at the Kwara State University.

He is Adjunct Professor and Provost of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria Academy and was until recently the Federal Inland Revenue Service Endowed Professor of Tax Law at the Lagos State University.

He was the Nuhu Usman Memorial Prize Winner in Jurisprudence and Legal Theory at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Taofeeq has LL.B (Hons) and Ph.D (Tax Law) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria and LL.M (Tax) from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) of the University of London.

He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (FCTI) and the Chartered Institute of Bankers, London, U.K.(FCIB) and a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria (BL).

He is also a Member of the Chartered Management Institute, UK (MCMI), Chartered Institute of Administration of Nigeria (MCIA) and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (ACIPM), the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ACIS) as well as the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK) (ACIArb).

He is a Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) UK. Professor Abdulrazaq was given a Merit Award on 17th November 2018 by the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria in recognition of his invaluable contribution to the development of the tax system in particular and Nigerian economy at large.

Offornze D. Amucheazi

Offornze is a Professor and Senior Advocate of Nigeria with thirty years     experience in legal practice and law teaching. He has taught at both the University of Nigeria Nsukka and at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.  He is a Senior Partner in the law firm of Amucheazi, Ozioko and Company with offices in Abuja and Enugu.

Professor Amucheazi is a Fellow of the Nigerian Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCArb); Institute of Construction Industry Arbitrators (FICIARB) and Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (FICMC). He holds Certificates in ‘Strategic Leadership Management’ from Oxford University and ‘Constitution Building in Africa’ from the Central European University Budapest. He is an external consultant to the World Bank Group and is a recipient of the Anambra State Government Award for Excellence.    

Prof. Amucheazi possesses wide experience in arbitration and ADR practice having acted as arbitrator in several arbitration proceedings. He is a member of the Lagos Court of Arbitration (LCA) and a member of the Editorial Board of the LCA Dispute Resolution Journal, the ICIARB International Journal of Construction Arbitration and the ICMC’s Nigerian Journal of Mediation and Conciliation, (NJMC). He is a member of the Panel of Neutrals of the Edo State and Enugu State Multi-Door Court Houses as well as a Neutral Facilitator (Arbitrator) with the Federal High Court Alternative Dispute Resolution Centre ( FHCADRC).

Offornze served as a Consultant/Special Assistant to a Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria on the Establishment of the Africa Finance Corporation as well as the Legal Expert (Constitution and Legislative Procedure) at the Policy Analysis and Research Project (PARP) of the National Assembly and subsequently as the pioneer Legal Adviser, National Institute for Legislative Studies (NILS) now National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies. (NILDS). Between 2012 and 2019  he served as the Lead Consultant to the Senate Committee of the National Assembly to coordinate the Review of the 1999 Constitution.

He has published several scholarly articles on labour law, arbitration and constitutional law and authored and co-authored several books including;“Thematic Issues in Nigerian Arbitration Law and Practice”, The Judiciary, Politics and Constitutional Democracy in Nigeria (1999-2007), The Concept of True Federalism in Nigeria, The National Industrial Court of Nigeria: Law, Practice and Procedure, ( 1st and 2nd edition) Constitutional Review in an Emerging Democracy: The Nigerian Experience and Employment and Labour Law in Nigeria.

Prince Tunji Falade

Prince Tunji currently serves as an advisory board member at Tax House.

Prince is the MD/CEO of Kingsway Quality Foods (Int’l) Ltd and is a 1986 Bachelor of Science degree graduate of the University of Ilorin, with two Masters degrees from the University of Ibadan. He was a recipient of one of the Annual Departmental Best Student’s Award (Professional Masters Degree of Industrial Relations ) University of Ibadan, 1993.

He also studied Project Management from Gordon Institute of Business Science-University of Pretoria, Lagos Business School and Strathmore Business School.

He has successfully transversed Human Capital Development, Business Development and Strategy, Project Management, Advertising, Agribusiness and Marketing in the last 32 years.

He is a member of the technical team of International Institute For Tropical Agriculture (IITA), and the Wegeninen University, Netherlands on “FOOD SYSTEM FOR HEALTHIER DIETS” from February 2017 till date.

He was a member of the 2017 OXFAM/EDC Work- In-Progress SME Development Program for Nigeria. An OXFAM support project for Nigeria in collaboration with Enterprise Development Centre (EDC)/Lagos Business School (LBS), Pan-Atlantic University. Lagos, Nigeria.

He was a founding member: USA- AFRICA Business Council, Detroit Michigan, USA (Oct.1996), and Nigeria- South Africa Chamber of Commerce (NISAC) June 1995.

He is a council member of The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), where he serves as the Managing Director of Lagos Chamber of Commerce (Integrated Agriculture Project): LIAP. He was the Chairman of Agro-Processing committee, Chairman of ‘THINK-TANK’ committee of the Industrial Group, and currently the Chairman of the ‘Agriculture and Agro-Allied Sector.

In his personal capacity, he is a member of Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM), and Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON).

He is also a fellow of the Institute of Management Consultant- Nigeria (FIMC), and a Certified Management Management Consultant (CMC), a certification of the International Council of Management Consultants Institutes (ICMCI). 

He is a 2018 COCHRAN FELLOW of The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Washington DC. USA, through the Cochran Fellowship Training Program at North Dakota State University (NDSU) Fargo ND, University of Minnesota, St. Paul, MN, USA and several American Agro & food processing multinationals.

He is a member of Federal government sub committee on “One state, One product” (OSOP) policy to achieve accelerated the non- oil sector of the economy, and Zero Oil Agenda for the nation.

Mr Edem Andah

Mr Andah started his legal career as state counsel, rising early to become Assistant Director of criminal prosecutions and Litigations. He joined Shell Nigeria Development and production company (SPDC) as legal adviser and contracts draftsman in 1989. He was the pioneer, head of tax, in SPDC. He did his first expatriation to Shell Expro, UK and Shell International (SIPM) in the Hague in The Netherlands, in 1995 to returning to Nigeria in 1997. Mr Andah was also head of Shell Africa Oil Products Tax from 2004 to 2007, based in Nairobi Kenya, responsible for Shell downstream africa tax in 30 African countries. On leaving Shell, Mr Andah relocated to London, as the International Tax manager for Sub -Sahara Africa, with Baker Hughes UK Limited. He returned to Nigeria as Partner, with Ernst Young (EY) responsible for oil and gas tax services. In 2016, Mr Andah became Tax partner with the tier 1 commercial law firm of Olaniwun Ajayi LP.

Mr Andah’s career and has seen him work in the public and private sectors in Nigeria and other jurisdictions. He has pioneered the setting up of tax practices and has coached and mentored several tax persons and practitioners, who occupy strategic tax positions in multinational companies as well as with the Big- 4/5 consulting firms globally. Mr Andah continues to encourage and engage with young and aspiring lawyers and accountants who are interested in taxation. He has and continues to engage in thought leadership and is an Examiner of a UK based taxation body. He belongs to several fiscal study groups and is a member of UK based Chatham House.
